How to Make Easy Beef Quesadilla?

Ingredients:

  • 1 Lb. Ground Beef (I use lean minced beef to avoid excess grease)
  • 1 Tbs. Olive Oil
  • 1 diced, medium Onion
  • 1 diced, medium bell pepper
  • ½ tsp. Garlic paste
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 6-8 tortillas 7 to 8 inches
  • Shredded cheese 2 cups (Monterey Jack or Cheddar or blend of both)
  • 2 Tbs. of tomato paste
  • 2 Tbs. vegetable oil to cook quesadillas
  • Salsa, sour cream or avocado for topping (Optional)

Step by step recipe of Beef Quesadilla?

Step 1:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet, add ground beef and garlic. Then cook over medium-high heat until the beef is browned while breaking it up into small pieces.

Step 2:

Once the beef turned brown, add diced onion, bell pepper and cook until they are soft and tender.

Step 3:

Next add in tomato paste, taco seasoning, salt and pepper and cook for another 5 min or until the beef’s fully cooked and there is no water left. Keep aside to cool down.

Step 4:

In a pan, toss the tortillas one by one over slow to medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side. Remember tortillas burn too quick so keep the flame towards slower side.

Step 5:

Now comes the Assembling Part! Place some cheese on one half of each tortilla. Spoon about ¼ cup of cooked beef on top and add more cheese. You can sprinkle over more seasonings of your choice.

Step 6:

Fold the tortillas in half moon shape to enclose the filling.

Step 7:

Grease a pan with vegetable oil and cook the quesadillas for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they’re crispy and the cheese is melted.

Step 8:

Finally, Cut the quesadillas into halves and serve hot with your desired toppings.
